Hunting

Averaging only 3.4 residents per square mile (compared to King County’s 912 per sq. mile) hunters visiting Ferry County are less likely to find themselves standing shoulder to shoulder with other hunters or area residents, and more likely to have an inviting landscape and a peaceful, open meadow all to themselves.

GMUs

The Eastern Washington State mountains and fields of Ferry County are beautiful and rich with game. The county boasts seven game management units (GMUs), but of particular note is the Sherman 101 unit, which blankets much of the county and provides some of Washington State’s best opportunities for hunting and capturing a mule deer, white-tailed deer, moose, and turkey.
